Coleman County Electric Cooperative is governed by a board of seven directors representing the service territory. These directors are member-owners of the cooperative and live within the area they represent. Directors are elected to a three-year term by the membership during the Annual Meeting voting process.

Richard H. Lange - District 1

Richard H. Lange - District 1

Mr. Richard H. Lange represents the member-owners of District 1. Mr. Lange was appointed to the Coleman County Electric Cooperative Board of Directors in 2017.

Mr. Lange is a lifelong resident of Norton and has been farming in Norton and surrounding communities since 1973. He continues to farm cotton, wheat, and milo as well as run cattle. Mr. Lange and his wife, Jean, have two children and are active members of St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Ballinger, where he serves as a lector and assisted with CCD for many years.

Mr. Lange was a member of the Facilities Needs Assessment Committee for Ballinger ISD, helping to prioritize renovation projects, and the Herbicide Regulation Advisory Committee to the Runnels County Commissioners Court. In 1995, Mr. Lange became a loss adjuster for the Farm Service Agency. He has been an active member of the Norton Lions Club for 45 years and is once again serving as president of the club. He also was active in 4-H and served for several years on the Runnels County Junior Livestock Show Association Board of Directors.

Mr. Lange has completed the required courses and training through the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association to receive his Credentialed Certificate.

Roger Kruse - Vice President

Mr. Roger Kruse represents the member-owners of District 2. Mr. Kruse was appointed to the Coleman County Electric Cooperative Board of Directors in 2008 and currently serves as Board Vice President since 2017.

He and his wife, Rhonda, have three children and are members of the North Main Church of Christ in Winters. Roger is a farmer and rancher.

Mr. Kruse has served on numerous boards in the Winters area. For ten years he served on the Board of Directors of the Winters Hospital District. He is also currently serving on the Elm Creek Water Control District Board of Directors.

Mr. Kruse has completed the required courses and training through the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association to receive his Credentialed and Board Leadership Certificate.

David Wright - District 3

David Wright - District 3

David Wright represents the member-owners of District 3. Mr. Wright was appointed to the Coleman County Electric Cooperative Board of Directors in 2010.

Mr. Wright is a 1973 graduate of Texas A&M with a degree in Veterinary Medicine. Mr. Wright and his wife Cathy are members of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Coleman. They have one son who is currently serving in the United States Coast Guard in Alameda, California.

Mr. Wright also serves on the board for Holiday Hill Nursing and Memory Care Center in Coleman.  He is the program director and a professor for the Veterinary Technology Program at San Juan College in Farmington, New Mexico.  He and his wife moved back to the Novice area in 2009 from Abilene where he also ranches.

Mr. Wright has completed the required courses and training through the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association to receive his Credentialed and Board Leadership Certificate.

Les Dobbins Jr. - District 4

Mr. Les Dobbins Jr. represents the member-owners of District 4. Mr. Dobbins was appointed to the Coleman County Electric Cooperative Board of Directors in 2017.

Mr. Dobbins is a lifelong resident of Coleman County. He and his wife, Diana, live on the farm that has been in her family for more than 100 years, they have two sons. Mr. Dobbins works for Coleman ISD in grounds maintenance and as a bus driver. For the previous seven years, he was employed at Cross Plains ISD as the transportation director. Many people know him from his many years in the family business, Dobbins Service Station, on the south end of Commercial Avenue in Coleman.

He was a volunteer with the Coleman Fire Department for almost 20 years, serving as a fire chief and in other officer positions. He volunteered for several years with events of the Coleman Chamber of Commerce. Dobbins has been a trustee at Bible Baptist Church for several years. He also serves as song leader for the church, a position he has held for more than 25 years.

Mr. Dobbins has completed the required courses and training through the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association to receive his Credentialed Certificate.

Mr. Brent McMillan represents the member-owners of District 5. Mr. McMillan was appointed to the Coleman County Electric Cooperative Board of Directors in 2017 and currently serves as Board president.

Mr. McMillan is a co-owner of Johnson Feed Barn. He and his wife, Renea, have two daughters and four grandchildren and are members of First Baptist Church. McMillan serves as director of the Coleman County Youth Activity Board. He previously served as a director of the Coleman Chamber of Commerce and Coleman ISD School Board, and held office as director, secretary, and president of the Coleman Rodeo Association.

Mr. McMillan has completed the required courses and training through the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association to receive his Credentialed Certificate.

Darla Wise - District 6

Mrs. Darla Wise represents the member-owners of District 6. Mrs. Wise was appointed to the Coleman County Electric Cooperative Board of Directors in 2016 and currently serves as Secretary-Treasurer.

Mrs. Wise was born and raised in Coleman County. She married Hank Wise, of Rockwood, in 1986, they have two sons. Darla graduated from Howard Payne University in 1993. She has been farming, ranching, and in the hunting business in Coleman County for 30 years. Darla has served on Coleman County Chamber of Commerce, Coleman County Youth Activity Center, and 4B Economic Development Boards. She received Coleman County's New Horizon Award in 2009. Darla is a member of Gouldbusk Methodist Church.

Mrs. Wise has completed the required courses and training through the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association to receive her Credentialed, Board Leadership and Director Gold Certificates.

Mr. Bob Fuchs represents the member-owners of District 7. Mr. Fuchs was appointed to the Coleman County Electric Cooperative Board of Directors in 2000.

Mr. Fuchs has lived all his life in the Rowena area, where he farms and ranches.  He and his wife, Mary (Puggy), have two daughters.  He graduated from Texas State Technical Institute in 1974.  Mr. Fuchs and his wife have been involved in Prison Ministry for years.  He has served on the St. Boniface Church Council, Runnels County Farm Bureau Board, Runnels County Education Board, Rowena Softball Association, Ballinger Young Farmers, and the Olfen ISD Board.

Mr. Fuchs has completed the required courses and training through the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association to receive his Credentialed, Board Leadership and Director Gold Certificates.
